Sharp turns are not good.

We made it!  Well, for day 1 at least. The ride into Paris was more than a bit harrowing, and somehow we lost the track that would have taken us on a bike path along a canal and instead ended up discovering how many traffic circles there really are between the airport and central Paris. Also, it seemed that someone won a soccer game since traffic stopped for a while. I discovered just how hard it is to make sharp turns with the trailer (very hard), but otherwise we survived and the trailer survived, so all is well! And we're also only 1.6 km from a delicious chocolate shop recommend by Scarlett, so soon I'll be even better.

The flight over was long, but I managed to doze for a bit despite the fact that we left the sleeping pills in our checked bag. There was a bit of a scare when we thought we didn't have tv's at our seats since we were at the bulkhead, but at last we discovered them hidden within our seats. Plus, they had some classic Doctor Who episodes, so woohoo!

Bike reassembly went remarkably well, although somehow one of Saroja's inner tubes was ripped. Seems odd to have done bike repair before we even hit the road, but knock on wood that's the toughest fix we'll have...

We had some pretty good directions to get us out of the airport on the quiet roads, past the cargo areas mostly. If you're interested in the route we've included it here.
